What types of small businesses are permitted in the PR District?

The PR District would allow only limited types of small businesses. Seven commercial uses would be permitted by right (Barber/Beauty/Spa, Bed & Breakfast, Campus Ministry, Corner Store, Funeral Home, Professional Office, and Day Care Center), while several others would be allowed conditionally. In contrast, the City’s Commercial Zone allows 41 uses. See the Comprehensive Use Table at 150.41.

The business uses allowed in the Pedestrian-Residential District were selected because many already exist nearby or in residential neighborhoods; many tend to be lower traffic.
