The Community Development Department is preparing a 5-year Fair Housing Equity Plan. The Fair Housing Act requires HUD and its recipients of federal financial assistance to do more than simply not discriminate; they must take meaningful actions to overcome patterns of segregation and foster inclusive communities. To determine if the City is affirmatively furthering fair housing, the City conducts a Fair Housing Analysis. The analysis identifies fair housing issues and what steps will be taken to affirmatively further fair housing.
The plan includes the gathering of opinions from Bowling Green residents involved in the housing industry, including renters, homeowners, landlords, and those involved in the real estate business and banking. If you live in Bowling Green’s city limits, you are invited to participate in a survey to share your opinions and experiences involving Fair Housing.
Your answers are anonymous, and responses will only appear in a final consolidation. The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete. The survey will be available starting February 12, 2024 and will close on March 1, 2024.
