Mission Statement
Welcome to Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Online!
Notice to City Park users: The construction of the new aquatic facility at the Bowling Green City Park will begin on Monday, Oct. 15. The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department would like to remind the community that City Park will remain open during construction. Please be aware that large vehicles will be entering and exiting the park for the duration of the project.
The new pool facility will offer amenities that the old pool, built in 1963, didn’t feature. A few of these amenities include: a lazy river, separated pool areas to assist with cleaning, a new bath house and room to conduct swim meets while still holding open swim. Construction of this facility is being funded with money from the pool levy that citizens passed in March. Depending on the winter weather, Bowling Green Parks and Recreation hopes to open the new facility in June of 2013.
